Default Rear Springs. Where to buy?

Yes I did a search on rear springs and got over 500 pages of hits.
Read about 50 of them but not one mentioned where you guys buy a stock leaf pack. I haul my work trailer and need more weight handleing. The only options I get from our Canadian retailers (if they can't sell 20 million of something then they just aren't interested in selling it.) is to go to the local spring rebuilder.
Ummm I do know a bit about metal having been in the welding industry for almost 15 years and even if you bend a "Spring" which is tempered metal by the way back to it's original shape, there is no quarantee in the world that it won't bend back. and in a shorter time than I'm prepared to live with. I keep reading "buy a leaf pack and add a leaf"
OK fine. I'll do that. Do you know finding crack is easier? or heroin? or even a hand gun which have been outlawed in canada since the '30s.
So leaf springs. a completly legal product available to anyone inthe world but Canadians.
Come on spill it guys where are you getting them? and don't say flea bay. just spent 2 hours of time I'll never get back looking.
BTW the dealer keeps giving me that 2 headed look. I think the next time I show up they're gonna call the cops.

Hmm Rocky road says $156 shipped UPS ground (Only service to Canada). in Cdn dollars about $200. Not bad but about what my dealership wants.
Oh wait getting screwed by UPS brokerage services. Forgot that! add $100 CDN.
Not your fault. UPS thinks all canadians are millionaires and really want to share the wealth. Been royally screwed over by that company before.
Thanks Nice site. Wish I could afford some of their stuff!
Found one on Flea bay. Same $99.00 but $146.00 shipping to Canada.
You know I'll bet the damn things are made here! LOL

The sad thing about Canadian retailers is they are all and I mean all Fn lazy.
I work in Home renovations now but I was in the welding industry and the automotive industry. I come across products that would make for a bettter job or nicer look or whatever and if it's not on the shelf they don't want to order it.
Had a 99 ranger once. Went to 10 different truck and hotrod shops trying to get a roll pan and trailer hitch combo like in the truckin mags. Even offered one of them $800. for what I knew was a $250 kit. No deal they just weren't interested. Ended up making one for about $200 but wans't as nice as the kit.
Currently I have a problem getting a switch that has a timer instaled so when you turn the light off the bath fan runs for another 20 min. Helps dry out the bathroom so mold won't grow. $75.00 US and every one of my customers who I spoke to about it want one. Would pay double.
I have to drive to Port Huron and smuggle them across. No Canadian retailer or wholesaler will stock it or even order it. and that includes the big chains like Home depot too.

That sucks. One would think that they would be wanting to make a sale.
May have to smuggle some springs across the next time you get down to the states. Just an idea.

I have a cousin living in Michigan. I'll see if he can purchase some things for me and when I visit him next I'll do a little R&R. Remove and Replace

If you take things across that aren't "installed" is there a tax or something that they make you pay?

Not if they don't know about them.
If you declare them then they are subject to GST 5% (Goods and Service Tax or Gouge and screw tax) Duty 1 to 50%(Another tax if the item is also manufactured in Canada) and here in Ontario a provincal sales tax 8%.
Plus the PITA of standing around while pissed off goverment workers mad that they have to work for a living take an hour to walk from their desk to the counter and back to their desk.
Which actually can be considered pleasant since it takes 3 hours just to cross into Michigan at Port Huron just to be met by the most ungrateful clerks with guns I've ever come across. I'm so glad the rest of you guys aren't like them!

No guns here.

Sounds like you need to hit your cousin up.
