Default Rear Shocks

I have a 99 herokee and it has a rustys 5 inch with adjustable control arms and quick disconects i traded for this jeep a few months ago and was just wondering the guy did not put rear shocks on it in fact he removed the brackets from the frame the ones on the axle are still there but is there a reason he did not install them? i would like to install some shocks but don't no the proper hieght any help would be awesome thanks guys I'm new to jeeps but not to vehicles.

That tape measure is not goin to help my ride lol so just put some shocks under it then is what your sayin thanks for the help man will do so measurin this weekend cause i went down a country road and it felt like the rear end was dog trackin down the road so it deff. needs some support back there

Same with my jeep buddy didnt connect the shocks on the back he tryed to weld them to the frame but failed...FAILED. Anyways i think im going to get this custom spring shop down the road to fix it i was told they could do it. I suggest you do the same there is deffently a shop around you that dose that sorta stuff. As for the ride, i hit a bump and im still feeling it 10 feet down the road.

For sure it's like a old lincoln with bad shocks lol if i can't fix it my self my buddy owns a muff/brakes/shocks shop
