hello i have a 96 cherokee that i have 89 waggy d44s under with re 5.5 lift the front is completely done but in order to finish the rear i have to mount the shocks. On the waggy rear the mounts are different and they are both on the back side of the axle so i cut them off and made tabs buts i was wonder if they should be mounted at any special angle like how they usually hang lower then the axle or if i can just weld them on level with the axle. thank you

 

As long as you have plenty of room for the shock to swivvel in the mount you should be fine, I have the same axles and mine stick out level just like your talking about.

Oh yeah can the shocks be mounted straight up and down or do they have be at a angle like they are stock?
