rear shackle hangers
hello
Last week i atempted to install my 2" lift shackles im the back of my jeep and ran into a problem.
I took the bumper and reciever hitch off and sprayed all the bolts with penatrating lube and let it sit for a few hours. once the smoke cleared i went outside and began unbolting the shackles. i started with the top and it made a few turns then the nut on the inside broke free from the weld. it made me mad then i take a closer look and it pretty rotted around the bolt hole so it is really loose and now have no choice but to fix it.
what do i do? is there weld in shacke hangers or do i have to make some and how do i do that?
any help would be apreciated
thanks

i'd take a peice of plate, drill an over sized hole, weld the nut over the hole, then weld the plate onto the remaining spring hanger.
I guess it depends on how bad it is / how much hanger you have left, but I would think that would be the easiest. just my .02
