Hey all,

Just took the interior apart to bedline it, and while I was at it I am getting rid of the vinyl-esque seats and switching to cloth.

My issue is this.

On the bottom portion of the rear seat, there's one bolt behind the front passenger seat that the back seat pivots on to swing forward. Mine is a TORX bolt with a sleeve for the seat to pivot. However, the bolt is bottomed out, leaving it sticking out quite a bit and will allow the new rear seat to move side to side some, and it won't latch down properly when attempting to "fold back" the seat. I would assume I would want the bolt to be snug up against the bracket of the seat.

I don't think my old seat had the lever release, but this one does, if that makes a difference. I would have checked the old seat but the mosquitos were killing me so I couldn't make it to my barn.

Any ideas for things for me to check?

 

For the record, there's a plastic spacer that goes OVER the bolt so the seat can pivot like a **********.

That's what I was missing, the new seat didn't come with one and the old seat tried to steal it away. When I went down to look at the old seat, there it was.

Problem solved, beers drank. Everyone is happy.
