Default Rear Seat Belt Replacement

Im having trouble trying to get the rear seat belt out. I have soaked it with PB Blaster and even put my impact to it and it wont budge. Any ideas how to get it out? Its the old school lap belt design.

I don't what kind of juice your impact gun has but, I ended up using a 24" ratchet breaker bar to get mine out. Made life a lot easier.

Its got 512lbs of torque has worked for everything else even tried my buddies industrial 1/2" impact and it still wouldnt budge. Tried a pretty big 1/2" breaker bar not sure how long but was at least a foot long. Only reason Im bothering with it is I got a ticket for having a passenger with no seat belt on.

It has been a while since I had to replace mine but I think the belt threads into the body. That being said did you look from underneath to make sure no one added a longer bolt a nut to tighten it all down?

Theres a heat shield over where the rear seat is not sure but dont think there is. The po never modded the jeep except for bigger tires with no lift or trimming

Tighten it in a wee bit, and then loosen it. Do that a few times.

Yep. In the name of occupant safety and you being a concerned person, you need this new tool. Tell that to the old lady..........
