I just removed my back seat and bolted my high lift, shovel, axe, and fire extinguisher to the rear seat front brace and where the seat belts were bolted in. Oh, everything inside of your wheeling rig should be either bolted or strapped down so they will not be able to come loose in a roll over, the only thing in my rigs that are loose are my recovery straps.

I think I am going to keep the back seat in place and bolt a piece of plywood on hinges behind the seat so it can fold down and attach everything I want on there.

I figured if it was strong enough to hold a full size spare, it's strong enough for the hi-lift. Add a couple washers to fill in the gap and it never even shifts. No drilling, no fuss.
