rear running lights.... Odd issue to have IMHP
I have a kinda dumb question on my XJ.
I do not have rear or front running lights… I checked all the wiring from the trailer hitch and nothing was out of the ordinary.. NOTHING spliced… what I found after pullinghte lower part of the dash out I could pull the head light switch part way (finding the sweet spot you might say were the headlight and running lights all function) Under the dash is a relay panel and you can hear and feel the relay “switch” . I do not believe that I have a short somewhere because the can function in that “sweet spot”. I also replaced the headlight switch just to be sure.
Here is my question.. can a relay still “switch” but be broken so it “switches” at the wrong time >????
I priced the new relay and it’s $15 bucks… not a biggie but I do not want to just throw a lunch at the thing and have it not correct the problem…
