Default rear running light problem

Okay so i keep replacing the fuse to my rear running lights/dash but the fuse keeps blowing after maybe a minute of them being on. im not sure whats going on. my brother borrowed it and installed a stereo said when he turned on the lights the stereo would go off when he turned the lights off the stereo would come on. i took a look at the wiring and he cut the wiring harness to the stereo.(three plastic connecters) theres seventeen lose wires and only eleven belong to the stereo any help would be great as i work graveyard shift and cant afford anymore fix it tickets.

Gotta be the radio installation.
