Rear reese hitch
Hey everyone. Quick easy question. I came into owning a Reese hitch that the guy said "fits a jeep". I bought the thing for $20. (If nothing else, I can trade it for something I'm sure. It's in good condition.
So my question is, what is the distance between the brackets to fit a 99 xj? I'm out of state and so I can't measure it myself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just pick one off a junkyard XJ and order new nutstrips. Everything will be good to go unless your unirails are warped in some fashion. None of the aftermarket receivers utilize as much length of the unirail as the factory receiver, they also don't hug the bottom of the stock bumper as well as the factory hitch does.
Edit: Any year stock XJ hitch is supposed to fit any year XJ

Ok great. If rather be safe and have the ones with longer brackets. I'll use this as a barter piece thanks!
