Hi all, we just noticed this tonight on our 1998 Cherokee Limited 4.0, when flipping the signal stalk Right, the Right rear amber signal blinks as normal. But when signaling Left, both rear ambers blink, as if in parking light mode. This occurs only in the rear, the fronts operate as normal.

I figure there could be only so many things wrong with the signal system, so would likely be a fairly simple issue to diagnose. Although I am not familiar with the electrical system, would anyone have a good idea what needs fixing?

Do you have a trailer wiring harness? If so, I'd start there.

Is that a standard feature? We've never hauled anything and have no hitch.

Could be a bad ground. Seen melted harnesses short out or ground out and cause all sorts of odd ball lights going off.

This actually happens to me in my 97 Sport. I've had it for a year now and it only happens randomly.
