Rear Main Seal Replacement - Bearing Cap Isn't Budging
Replacing the rear main seal on my 1991 Jeep Cherokee XJ. I have the oil pan off. Removed the two bolts from the bearing cap. The bearing cap isn't budging.
Don't want to ruin anything.
1991, 4.0 Litre, 5 speed manual, 4x4. Just in case any of that matters.
Any hints?

Old fart with a wrench
Try breaking loose the other main bearing caps to get a little freedom to shift the crank. Be sure to retorque them afterwards though!
