Rear lower shock mount broken?
Hi Guys,
I realize there's a million threads about this but I haven't been able to find the answer I'm looking for. I'm changing out the rear shocks, and the lower mount snapped. So I cut it off and have been trying to drill it out (taking FOREVER, and costing a lot of drill bits).
My question is... when you're cutting the stud off it has a bit of a shoulder forward of where the shock would sit. Do you cut that off too? It's a lot of material that I wouldn't have to try and drill through, and could replace it with some washers for the mean time and with some after market mounting bolts ultimately.
What about the 'head' on the stud... do you try and cut that off too? Grind it flat?
Much obliged! I'm really at a loss with this thing!
