So after my three inch lift i started hearing this weird noise coming from the rear i think, it only happens when im going about 30+ but only when i let of the gas and coast, sounds like the noise that your tires make when you go off the edge of the highway where it has those bumps that hum?

mine did the same thing every time i let off the gas. its because the drive shaft is too far out I believe. I got a SYE and CV driveshaft and I no longer have that problem.

 

nope, its not a vibration, its like a grinding noise....

 

i hope not.....damn, its only a 3" lift :/

 

My guess would be brakes dragging then. Do you notice a pull to one side when you stop?

 

maybe, might be my imagination. sorta thought it sorta slowed me down some. idk

have you checked the u-joints?

 

X2^, a buddy of mine put a 2" BB on his wife's XJ & the noise was worse than mine with 6".... He ended up putting a Transfer drop kit in & that made it better....

 

If that's the problem will it hurt to drive it like it is?

 

your not getting any vibrations? just that noise?

 

i think, like it only makes the noise when i let off the gas when going 30-35 or more. ...
