I have a chance to get a rear from a 1998 jeep grand cherokee laredo, does anyone know what rear rears came with that year and model. I need a chryco with 3.55's and don't want to drive 2 hours to look at it and the guy don't know what it is...Tj

98 would either be a D-44a(if it is a V-8) or a D-35(if a 4.0l) But it should have rear disc breaks.
3.55 would be the standard gear ratio on the axle. BUT... 3.73, and 4.10 were available.
It's not going to be a bolt in. GC's have rear coils and therefore get control arms on the rear.
