Hey jeeping people
I have '92 xj limited, when I do tight corners everything Is fine, at any speed.
But when I do very very shallow turns (like few degrees) , only at slow Speed or when I accellerate slowly I can hear a ticking noise from the rear diff.
I Just bought tue car and still didn't open and flushed the diffs. May this be just perhaps a lack of lsd additive ?? Or there Is something bad that already happened? What could It be ? Clutches ? Or spider gears?

It may have a "lunchbox" locker in it. These are automatic lockers that you can put in without pulling the carrier assembly and resetting the gear lash. You'll know as soon as you pull the diff cover and see there's no spider gears in it, just two sets of ratchet teeth. If that's what it is, there's no special lube necessary.

are you talking about those things that can randomly lock as you drive around corners? ( that's what I've heard)
So that might not be related to a damage....? I was kinda afraid the previous owner could have towed some heavy *** wood trailer around

Only "noggin pokin'" will tell for sure. Pull the diff cover and look it over. It's possible there's a chipped spider gear. Don't get excited until you check it out. People get ulcers worrying about nothing.
