I want to make a rear bumper tire carrier, so i was wondering if anyone has blueprints or plans? before i start drawing them my self

what are you gonna use for a swing mount?
i have been using a trailer hub with the flange cut off on any i've made so far.
i'm about to build another one for my xj and one for the wifey's tj. have all the steel, just gotta get a couple more hubs.
plans are a waste for me 'cause i just end up changing them when i start cutting the steel anyways.

You people with welding and fab skills make me mad..:P I wish I could weld and had the fab tools to build a bumper myself. I see all these cools bumpers and then see the price and just can't justify spending that kinds of money.

Just pick my self up a little mig welder a few months back for $75 at a garage sale....little 110 job (lincoln) I grew up around a welder (Uncle had a hugh welding/crane business with big presses and shears... Tig, Mig, Arc)....handy little tools! Maybe we can try some ideas OCKjeeper...when we get time and steel....so many ideas so little time!
