Default Rear brake hard lines...

Anyone know what size the rear brake hardlines are? The ones that run from the splitter alone the rear axle and plugs into the wheel cylinders? I have the option of 3/8", 1/4" and 5/16".. I want to replace them on a D35 out of a 91 XJ. I also plan on upgrading to disc brakes on it so that could be a factor. Just want to make sure the fitting is proper.

Wish I could help you, bro. You finally stumped me on a 91 XJ question.... My 91 XJ Sport had a Chrysler 8.25 in originally. Now it has an 87 XJ D44 in it.

I thought they were 3/16. I could be wrong. Easy way to tell is if you go to the parts store have them pull a wheel cylinder and then just find the break line that screws into it.

Just make sure you get the same size lines, the fittings you can always cut, change and reflare... Going up/down in line diameter will increase/drcerase brake pressure and biasing on that particular axle/wheel.

Stryker did you buy them locally or did you order them online? I know quadratec sells them in a 20ft kit with fittings..

I would go to advance auto and get a section of 5/16 and a Brake line bender with the flaring tool and make my own.
