Default rear bouncing

Recently I replaced my axle shafts, seals, and bearings. They sit tight and don't move up and down anymore but even I put my brake and tire back on I shake the jeep and you hear the drum bouncing around. It also does a bit of bouncing over bumps and you feel it in the floor. Is my drum worn down from having bad shafts or is there something I overlooked?

Pull the drum and look.

The drum is centered via the lug studs, unless I'm misunderstanding the issue, it shouldn't be drums.

Ok well let me ask a different thing then. When I got new shafts I got then from a junk yard. Where the seal and the bearing go on the shaft is it supposed to just be the same diameter as the rest of the shaft or is it supposed to be wider to sit more snug into the bearing?

You're probably just hearing the axle shaft sliding back and forth and slapping the C clips. Normal on a C clip axle.

That was my first guess as well...but I don't hear my shafts going over bumps...

To OP , jack the jeep up and push the rear tire in and out, is that the same noise you hear?

It is supposed to be snug in the bearing and seals and warped drums could possibly cause hop under braking if there dented or something but I doubt that is the problem.

When there is no tire and brake drum on it's just barely in and out with minimal noise and it's not the same sound. It's the normal sound it would make but when the drum is on and the tire it makes the noise. You can tell for sure that the sound you hear is in fact the drum.
