Any D35 from TJ,XJ,ZJ or WJ from the mid 80's forward. Trick is going to be finding a trac-loc diff. You Need the whole carrier. might be easier and better to just get a Lunchbox locker.

If the spiders gears were welded to the existing carrier, and they most likely are, then you will need a new carrier to even do the lunchbox locker. By the time you spend the money on a new carrier and locker, you could go ahead and upgrade to a 29 spline 8.25 and install an Aussie locker.

No.. not any D-35 will work..

Do you have C-clips or no inside your carrier??? 89 was the change over year.. so you may have either. But a Non-C Trac-Loc and C-clip Trac Loc carry different part numbers.

That is what is was worried about. The Reason the kid gave me for changing the axle was because the 89 was non-c clip. I will look before i buy but I am guessing it is non c-clip.

The trac-loc is a carrier.. It replaces the entire carrier.

On the left is an open carrier.. on the right is a Trac-Loc carrier.
