Really High Oil Pressure

lately my oil pressure gauge has been reading as high as the needle will go... just started doing it. is it a dirty censor? is this common? what are some things i could try?

Going off the scale is usually indicative of the sensor going bad, yes. About all you can do is replace the sensor.

I had this problem about 2 years ago and it was quite frustrating. I had to get it replaced and I think it was a few hundred dollars from some shop.

Easy fix, do it yourself. 40 for the part. They will charge you 80 an hour to install it. I changed mine about 2 months ago. I had the same issue with the oil pressure shooting to the top. You can change this out it like 20 mins.

But I only paid a few hundred for the whole jeep?LOL
