Default really cheap lift springs

ok so my goal is to have a 8'' lift but i cant go and drop 1200 bucks like that soooo ... i have taken 2 stock springs and clamped them together so now they are twice the length . next ill cut one of them down enough for a 8" lift my question is would that even pass inspection and is it safe . by no means do i think they would come apart i used those spring boosters in reverse and each spring has 3 of them it is a rock solid setup i just wanted your opinion here is a pic .. it is on the ground

that is extremely unsafe, and i doubt it would pass any kind of visual inspection.

better off waiting till you have money.

As an engineer, clamping springs together is a REALLY bad idea. There is a possibility of clamp failure, not to mention very unpredictable handling due to a non-constant spring rate. And don't even think of welding!!

that is one of the dumbest things I've seen in a long time, yeah, do it, but before you hit your first pothole yell out "hold my beer and watch this" while someone is filming it so it can go on you tube to teach others.

Atleast you were thinkin outside the box.

DO NOT drive your Jeep with that coil setup! Not being mean, just would rather see your thread progress than an obituary.

6" arms and drop brackits yes. Stock ones maybe if you plain on a 4" lift. Just in case you don't know if your arms are to short the lift is pointless!! When your arms are to short it pushes your axle back and =s out what you already have.
