their customer service is great, much better tha RE. i can never get ahold of an RE rep and emailing them is a waste of time. they depend on the sellers to answer the questions for them, like Jason from jeepin does. RC has a chat system on their website and you can chat with their tech support. there is also a thread over at naxja about rough country and a rep named Grimm something answers all questions there. he answered everything i asked so far and even offered me free coil spacers to fix my drop bracket issue. i was also advised to hold out on the rough country arms they have now cuz new ones are coming out with much better joints. as for shipping, i get my stuff from them in 3 days every time. thats pretty darn good IMO.

basically you ant go wrong with either. its all about what you can afford really.
good advice mud...i went the RC route as well and have no regrets...GREAT customer service just as mud said...and i got my kit in 3 days as well...and yes that is pretty darn good...

I don't know about RC, but both RE kits say to remove the rear sway bar. I did on my 3.5 RE superflex, and it still handles very well....just don't forget to hook up the sway bar after wheeling!

If you think you will be doing more off-roading and want it to perform, get the superflex, it will be well worth the extra money. I don't wheel that often, so I was having the same questions as you, but decided to spend the money the first time. After seeing how awesome the superflex works, I'll be wheeling more now! I may be wrong, but if I had to guess the RE 3.5 superflex will be much better off road than the RC 4.5.

Here's why you want the superflex LCA's:

It seems that the RC arms can rotate in the middle, almost like the superflex arms rotate at the end. I was told RC's new arms that will be coming out will be pretty much like the Superflex arms there.

Thanks for the answer about Flex/Ride. Like mud was saying about RE's customer service, that's the only bad thing I have heard about them. They might have good parts and kits, but if you can't talk to someone and get answers to questions then to me that just puts the RC folks ahead in my book. Customer Service/Support is just as important to me. Once my dollars arrive (hopefully tomorrow) I'm gonna give Jason a call and see what kind of deal I can get. Only downside to all this is I still have 235/75 rubbers on the jeep. I don't think it will look too cool with 4.5ish inches of lift with those pizza cutters still down there. haha. You guys know of any online tire shops that are good priced? Also, any recomendations on tires? Brand? you know that kind of stuff.

For what it's worth, I run the RE 3.5" Super Ride with 31" BFG's and have no complaints. For the "light" wheelin that I do (which sounds a lot more aggressive than what you'll be doing) it does everything I could ever ask. As far as handling goes, it's really not that much different, to me, than stock. With the rear sway bar gone you can't tell any difference at all in cornering. Mainly bumps at slow speed (like speed bumps) you'll feel it flex some more. Now if you leave the front sway bar disconnected (not recommended in your case since you're worried about the lady and the little one) then you'll most certainly feel a lot more roll. I disconnected mine this past weekend when I took it wheelin and haven't gotten around to hooking it back up yet. Combination of lack of time, plus I really do like how it rides without it, but i'll probably throw it back on tomorrow sometime.

X2 on the 3/4" coil spacers up front with the RE kit. I have mine sitting in the back of the Jeep, but once again due to lack of time haven't been able to put them on yet. Some days its more obvious than others that it sits lower in the front.

Thanks UNCC. I also have to budget in tires as well. I'll spend what I have to, but less is more. I'm a disabled vet that's finally getting disability paychecks and I'm celebrating by spoiling me and the Jeep. Rusty's got a 3" lift w/wheels & tires for $1200. Dick Cepek's on black steelies. 4.5" for like $1400, but I've heard a lot of horror stories. Heard a lot of good, but a little to many bad things considering how small my Jeep world is.

Well first off, thanks for all that you've done for our country! I'm sorry to hear that you're disabled, nothing too terribly serious I hope, but good to hear you're treating yourself (and the Jeep) to a little somethin special

I really would stay away from Rusty's lift's....and really any of Rusty's stuff in general. The only experience I have with his products is his cat-back system, which for the most part has held up well....only a couple of issues when I got it that I had to fix myself. I've heard story, after story, after story, after story of his products breaking on the trail and leaving people stuck in the middle of the woods. On the flip side, there are some who have never had an issue with his products, but I can assure you there's far more that have than haven't.

From what i'm hearing on RC it sounds to be a pretty good kit. Like I said my experience (which was based of countless hours of researching as well as recommendations from friends with similar kits) is with RE and i've been more than pleased.

Here's a picture from this weekend actually out at Uwharrie:

Yea. I don't plan on getting his deal due to the bad reviews. Like you said I have heard some folks swear by em. They have no complaints only praise. Which is great, but I have way to much bad joo joo for me put it on my rig with my son in the backseat. I take him out on the trails with me sometimes. He's 7 months and kicks a kick out of it. Likes the bouncing around I think.

Most of the time it's free shipping on tires/wheels. They will beat anyone's price too. I get all my tires/wheels from them, except this recent set of Trxus, which i got from 4wd hardware (they beat summit's price )
