This has been goin on the past couple days, ill be driving and all of a sudden its in nutural while still showing drive. If i switch gears it does nothing, it just has to go back on its own. It happens in all gears, even reverse. Ill be ready to take off then and press the gas then i just slowly roll forward. I almost got hit because my XJ wouldnt go anywhere.

 

check the level/condition of your ATF

ps ATF= automatic transmission fluid

 

All new fluids only 2000 miles ago. Ill still check.

 

yea check anyways you may have a leak or added to much or to little etc.
