Random Starting Issue
Hey guys,
I have a 2000 Jeep XJ with 140,000 miles on it. Recently I have noticed some strange issues on start up, but it is so random I can't get a good read on it. Everynow and then, on startup it seems to running really dry. It sounds like the exhaust is two times louder than normal, and when I go to give it gas to drive, it seems it looses power. After five or ten seconds, it will work itself out and drive fine. The gauges all look fine, and I have no check engine lights on. I have replaced the spark plugs, and I cleaned the IAC along with the throttle body and seafoamed it. I have also replaced the TPS, but like I said earlier it is so random and intermittent. I was thinking possibly fuel injectors? Any ideas?

I replaced the oil pressure sending unit in Feburary, but I get mixed readings from it. I just used an Orielys one, when I am stopped it will go down, and then when I am driving it will go back up, so it fluctuates a decent amount.

I am beginning to notice also that it will only do this when I turn the car off and the run inside for 5-10 minutes. Could it be heatsoak? I can physically hear it running, and it sounds like it is running dry as heck. But after tapping the gas for a couple of times it will work itself out
