Question Random Stall?

I have a 2001 jeep cherokee 110,000 miles. I was driving for 10 min driving casual, temperature was under 210 and no unusual idling. I was sitting still in traffic and my car shut off and the check engine light came on. I waited 2 seconds before starting it and it started right up, check engine light went away too. Any idea what could've cause this??

Guessing is futile. Especially without symptoms!

Get a code reader or a scan tool and pull the codes. Use the technology provided to you by your Jeep.

Post the EXACT code number(s) here for comment.

Some parts stores like Autozone will pull the codes for you for free. Check around.

It's okay to drive it UNLESS the check engine light is "flashing". A flashing CEL indicates a serious misfire which will destroy your catalytic converter if ignored.

You don't mention any symptoms, so it is fine to drive it. But don't ignore that CEL. Find out the codes and resolve it. Your Jeep is telling you something......
