Will give it a try, my stroker rarely/ never sees above 3000, always afraid it would want to eat a rod. Will have to do some driving in 3, otherwise it almost never sees 2500. 70mph is only 2100-2200. What makes the valve rotate and why only above 3500

You need to get over that stuff.

DRIVE IT!!!

Factory shift points are 5000 RPM at WOT. It's not a truck motor. A 4.6L motor was built by AMC in South America/Mexico. It isn't gonna blow up. No more than a 258 if you think about it. The 258's redline is upwards of 4500 RPM. Quit being shy and use that motor.

The carbon pieces are very small and likely pass through. Don't overthink this. It flat out works.
I'll second this, mechanics, as well as myself, have been doing this for years

What RPM do you rev your stroker to?
I revved the Jeep Racing Comanche with a 4.6 stroker and supercharger to 6000 regularly. so did everyone else who test drove it. Took 5 years to throw a rod.

And yes it does. Even better after a long drive with everything nice and hot

I drive 30 miles at 70 mph in the morning and today I tried to get the rpm's up. In D im turning 2100, in 3 that jumps to 2700...I didn't want to drop it into 2 at 70. On the sidestreets i was able to drop it into 2 but even at 50 mph I couldn't get to 3000. I am driving 31's on the stock 3.55 axles..Its almost impossible to get that damm thing above 3000 rpm.

Just be sure to let it wind out regularly on acceleration. That's more important than seeking to keep it at or above 3200 RPM on a cruise.

And you're geared way too high. redline it once or twice a day 1st to 2nd.

awesome you found the cause. Question tho when it would misfire would you be around 50-70 2k-3k rpm and it would misfire a few times? If so your cause is likely to be what’s going on in my jeep.
