Mine was doing the same thing, changed the crank sensor and no more problems for the past month.

With it in that condition, I would have replaced it anyway to prevent it becoming a problem even if it wasn't causing the symptoms.

Truck now has ~60 miles on it since replacing the sensor, have noticed a smoother idle and no misfires or cutouts since. Will still be keeping an eye on it but I'm confident it's fixed.
