Default Radio Resets when turned off

My radio resets when i turn off the car every time. I know there needs constant power to keep the radio's memory, but I recently redid my headliner and the top light would not turn on when i was done. After the light went out, changed bulb and nothing, the radio would no longer hold memory. Before I pull the radio, btw - the original '93, i just wanted to check to see if there was a correlation between the top light and the radio memory, and maybe i knocked out something, or is it just a coincidence.
Thanks for any help

Like turbo mentions, the dome light and the radio memory may be on the same circuit, one that stays hot. Finding the fuse for the dome light might solve your issue. As you know, we want your Beetles and Led Zeppelin to come through OK!
