every time I turn off my 92 and remove the key, the aftermarket radio completely resets. it goes back to demo mode. i know this would only happen if it stops receiving power completely. HELP! i'm tired of setting my equalizers, time and station presets!

 

I bet that the two power supply wires to the deck are not wired properly. One is a constant power supply (always hot, even when the car is off) and the other is only hot when the ignition is on. The constant power allows the deck to maintain its memory (hence your settings) but will not if it's hooked to an ignition hot wire. Simply pull the deck and rewire to a wire that is always hot.
