Default Radio problems....

I have an aftermarket cd player installed, but the radio does not work. I pulled the dash apart and made sure that the antenna was plugged in the back of the head unit, and it was. Where would be the next place I look for a connection? does the antenna wire run under the dash board?

Can you be a little more specific on not work?
Are you getting any noise through the speakers and does the cd player work?

where the passenger sits- pop the panel on the bottom right- where the passengers right foot would be, there is a connection there that goes bad.. someone gave me this advice on here a couple of days ago-

Update: that was the spot, the panel by the right foot of the passenger!!! There was a connection loose with a spring that I took out , then just electrical taped it back together..

Good deal Thanks guys!! I hope this helps someone else who runs into this problem....Right now I ran into another problem when my Heater/AC Switch melted and stopped working on a -2 degree day.....Had run out to a J/Y in order to get heat and defrost again. Went through 7 different XJ and all of them looked about like mine, NASTY.....So I took the only one that I though may work and switched them out.....I just don't know how long this one will last....But it works...

I wonder if this is the same thing on my XJ. Had problems with the factory radio cutting in and out. Then, the Airbag light came on and I lost function of the horn. Had an aftermarket radio put in, and all harnesses in the dash looked secure and normal. Gonna check the panel on the passenger side...
