so when i plug my phone charger in my radio goes completely static. i unplug and it comes back. pretty sure i remember someone saying its a grounding issue in a previous post that i cant find. can anyone confirm this or point me in the right direction? thanks

 

Make sure you have a solid ground between the radio and the chassis, the power socket and the chassis, the chassis and the battery.
Some chargers, particularly those that contain a dc-dc converter are just plain noisy and nothing quiets them down.
