Any Circuit City will have all the mounting brackets and wiring you'll need. Everything will for the most part just plug right in. Very minimal cutting and splicing.

Not 100% sure on the Xj but on my Tj there was some screws in the ash tray and on the top of the dash. When you go to pull it off you'll prolly think your gonna break it, then it'll just pop off.

Hopefully that helps.

Yup, when I took mine off it scared the **** out of me but yes you do indeed just pull very hard. The piece is held in by plastic clips.

Grab the bottom corners on each side of the trim piece and pretty much pull out and up and it will come right off and no you should not break a thing. If you feel like you are about to break something that means that is about to come off. If people that take their cars to audio shops saw how they work they would probably s*it themselves.
