radiator support wire(cables??
Ive posted some pics of my radiator from inside the engine bay of my '91 XJ and Im curious to what these wires(cables) are called. Theyre kinda hard ro see, so I have them marked with red arrows. Im not sure if they keep the cores sandwiched together or what?
My reasoning behind the curiosity is Im mounting a new electric fan on the drivers side of the radiator and the far left wire(cable) is in the way. Will it hurt anything if I snip just one of them off? My '91 XJ is bare bones, 5-speed, no a/c, no power anything and no aux fan. I know the XJs with autos come with an electric fan to keep the tranny cool.
Anyone out there know what these wires(cables) are called and what kind of purpose they serve?
