Smile radiator leak story

So... had a small rad leak, used Bars Radiator Leak Stop... it clogged up right near my coolant tank, cause too much pressure to build ( I think ) amd caused my coolant bottle cap to blow its o-ring.... this caused me to have an un-pressurized cooling system... now I had the coolant boiling up out of the bottle.

But I was blaming a blocked radiator ( before I checked out the coolant cap ) so I bought a used rad ( still haven't put it in ), then dicovered the cap seal issue... couldn't get just a bottle cap, so had to buy a new bottle and cap together ( $45 )... this solved my problem... took about 1 hour to install ( 10 minutes for the bottle, and about 45 minutes to find a t-connection cap I dropped into the engine bay ).

Now it all works fine, no more gurgling and boiling, BUT since the coolant system is pressurized again, I still have the ( small ) rad leak

The moral of this story... make sure you check the small, cheap, easy stuff first ( like the bottle cap seal )

I'm a bit confused. Shouldn't the Radiator cap be pressurizing the cooling system? And the Cap seal is below the overflow tube to the bottle??
