There is only one rad for the 4.0 in 1992. You have a two core, unless it has been swapped by someone, open style, meaning it has a radiator cap. Prior to 1991 they used a "closed system". Which did not have a cap on the rad. It used a reservoir bottle that was part of the pressurized system. HTH, later!!

That is the only time that someone has asked a what kind of Rad do I have that there was only one possible answer to post. I thought he may have wanted to know what the airflow maximum is or something that only an engineer may know. Glad a cooler head was around to answer him Thanks COS.

Take it easy guys.

There is only one kind of rad in your 92 unless its already been replaced. Why are you wanting to know this? Looking for a replacement?

Is this the kind of forum this is? Ask a simple question and you get a smart ***** response from the "know it all" member (BlueXJ)!! The #1 member should set a better example of responding to new members than that.

I asked the question because I was told there was more than one type of raditor for the 92.

Trust me I am aware and this isnt the first time, im sorry this happened to you and no this isnt that sort of forum as we were created to be the exact opposite of that.

Basically there is only one type of rad that came on your jeep (a 2 core). The XJ did have the option of having a tranny cooler which would be a smaller rad in front of your cooling system rad. You would see it though the grill of your jeep.

KD, please take a look at the prior posts. He simply asked what he wants to know about it, and iquois fired back in bold! I was merely kidding and meant no harm what so ever. I know that I was not brought up in this, but can't help but feel involved, and do not want my boy Blue to take all of the heat for it. I'm just as much to blame as he is. It is not my intent nor my desire to upset or offend anyone on this forum, and believe Blue feels the same way. I was trying to point out when you answer back like that, in bold, people can be irritated by said actions, due to the fact that in our world it feels like being yelled at. With this all being said, if I offended ANYONE in ANYWAY you have my deepest apologies!! I can appreciate how it feels to be on a forum that is NOT nice, please understand that this is NOT one of those forums!! Later!!
