Questions about tinted head/tail lights
What if, for the brake lights, I put LED bulbs in? Since brake lights have to be visible for 500ft(?), if I put in LED lights, which i presume shines brighter, would that allow me to kinda "balance out" the lights? Since the smoked lens dims the lights, but the LED makes the lights brighter. Anyone do this?
Same thing for the headlights, but with Silverstar Ultras (or any comparable halogen bulb. I was set on the Ultras only because I work at Autozone and I thought that i could use my 20% discount... Nope, I cant use it on anything consumable like bulbs, oil, antifreeze, etc ), or HID Xenons.

I literally just smoked mine - the lights were still visible, and I was still pulled over in Kansas - The law supposedly states that you must keep a reflective surface.. therefore I took reflective tape, and stuck a couple of small squares on the rear bumper.. I'll post pics in a little bit to give an idea of what mine looks like

here's a pic.. you can see how dark mine are and the reflective tape...
Edit: as far as the headlights go, our jeeps have crappy enough headlights as is that I wouldn't decrease my forward visibility any more than it already is..

do not tint your head lights. it makes it very hard to see at night when you are driving. i have trouble seeing with no tint because these stock lights suck so bad. i had my tail lights tinted for awhile untill i made metal tail light boxes and put LEDs in them. but i never had trouble with the cops but thats probably because i had a LED bar in the back window that was bright. I had only put on 2 thin coats of tint and from 500 ft you could just barely see the light.
