Default Questions about changing axle ujoints

So im changing my axle ujoints now, along with other things. So far I have some questions. Im trying to get the axle hub nut off, but its spinning. Jeep is in park, ebraked, and 4low. How do I stop it from spinning?

I just finished that job, use an impact. if not try putting something in the yoke that will bind on the spindle.

Impact certainly makes it easier. But you should be able to free it with the tire on the ground and some pentrating oil.

Are you replacing the hub bearing? If not you don't need to remove the hub nut. Just the 3 hub mounting bolts.

You can do it that way but it is easier with the hub removed.
