Default question.cherokees.rear hatch small open

question.
for cherokees.
I want to find a cherokee, with the rear door that has the top window part of it,

that opens up vertically.

and the rest stays closed.
so the question is:
do they have that.....??

or, ...can you mod , or make it ?!!

thanks!

thanks ! thabnks for welcoming me in to your jeep forum

probably my next car will be a panel van

but maybe after that, a jeep.

used to have a jeep wrangler, which i am very in love with

but for me to get back into jeeps i;'ll buy a cherokee

and then later add a wrangler, cause wranglers are way more expensive.

thanks!!, mike

Are the XJ and ZJ rear hatch window's that different in size that you couldn't adapt the ZJ's flipper window onto the XJ's hatch opening?

I think that the size/shape of the ZJ window would affect how it would work.

good stuff!!
i can take one off of another jeep of some sort,
or another suv.....
from a junkyard, or a parts service or from some place to get the part
take out the one on the rear hatch,
and mount the new one using the hardware it comes with, from the car i took it from.
thats kick ***.

and if it doesnt fit perfectly, i can make a molding thing , that allows for it to close and rest and tightly squish the molding rubber thing, so it doesnt bounce around and break,.
but still to be a tight fit, and a sort of lock, or some sort. maybe i can tak ethe lock out of the car that its coming form,
locking system
and with th rear tire in some cases, and keeps it closed the lock.
and when open, it stays upright
purpose: so i can grab stuff without opening the whole thing
thank s that idea was killer !!! awesome

If you have a pre-96 be careful.. as the rear hatch is fiberglass.
