I would like to find some new front brake lines for my 85xj but is difficult to find any that are in stock. I would really like to look at them before I buy them.
Online the ones for the 85 are listed as being compatible with 84 and 85 models and ones for a 97 will fit 90-01. Same for calipers. Just wondering what changed in the models that have the D30 front end that would call for different lines and if they would be compatible except for a fraction of an inch in length that I see in the specs? Especially since many suggest using YJ lines if you do a 3 inch lift, would this not work with an 85?

on my '99 xj I am running mid 80's chevy truck brake lines which are about 5" longer than stock (6' lift) they come in left hand and right hand sides and I have had no issues with them, plus you can get them just about anywhere and at a fair price.
