Default Question about SYE

I just bought a 96 Cherokee. The previous owner has put a 3.5" lift on it. It looks like he did a nice job other than the fact that he didn't put a SYE or a transfer case drop on it. I figure that I'll just go ahead and put a SYE on it, but don't know where to start. If I get a SYE, what else do I need? Do I need a different drive shaft? I've never installed one of these things. What is a good SYE to get and where can I get one online? I have the NP231 Tcase. Thanks!

The Jeep I bought came with a transfer case drop kit. It's just not installed. Would I need a custom drive shaft, or will a stock one off of something else fit? Thanks!

You can use the same ds w/tcase drop.

If you do an SYE (I got mine from oconee off road), you can used a front ds from an xj.

is this infact true with using a front driveline as a rear driveline after a sye install. pics of it maybe.

Are you sure you need an SYE? Do you have vibes? The earlier models tend to have more tolerance for driveline variances. The rear driveshaft in my '92 didn't fall out until I was at 5" lift.
