I have a 2" budget boost on my 98 and I am wanting to upgrade to 3.5". The current set up is front 2" spacer and rear add a leaf. My question is can I add extended shackles to the rear and get a decent boost out of it? I am thinking about piecing together the front as well with 3 or 3.5 inch coils, new fixed lower control arms and adj. track bar or track bar bracket. I know eventually I will need to get a full new leaf pack but I just want to spend as little at the moment as possible. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks and heres a pic of how it sits today.

A shackle will only boost 1/2 of the additional length compared to a stock shackle. Example, a shackle that is 2" longer than stock will only provide 1" of lift. So to get to a 1.5" lift you would need a shackle that is 3" longer than stock.

i have a 4.5 lift kit(measured at5 though) from Rusty's with a 2" shackle on top i have 7" of over all lift the only thing i see wrong is when flexing the shackle doesn't let the leaves flex very well but im gonna try the teraflex shackles in quadratek's order book
