Question about oil cooling....
My brother has an '89 Cherokee Laredo with the auto AW4 tranny. He is putting a bigger trans oil cooler on it and was planning to scrap the old one. I suggested that he uses it as an engine oil cooler after cleaning it out very well and making it usable again. Is this possible? My dad doesn't think so, but It should be able to, right?

Are u talking about plumbing motor oil to the factory tranny cooler in the radiator? I would be concerned that the line diameter for the factory cooler would be too small and possibly cause oil pressure/starvation issues. Your best/safest bet would be to install an auxiliary cooler specifically designed for engine oil, not tranny oil.
