Default question about my power steering pump

i have a 1993 4.0 cherokee (4wd ) and 2 days ago the power steering pump started to make a weird moise like a squealing noise and the pulley is wobbling, luckly i work at a junk yard and i got a pump of a 97 cherokee. my question is will the pump fit on my 93 cherokee? i took a look at my pump and i was thinking i have to take the bracket off with the pump to change the pump, im not too sure but any help is greatly appreciated

NO THEY ARE NOT!!!!! but it can work you will need really long 1/4" bolts and nuts......the 93 the belt is tightened by moving the pump on the 97 the pump stays and there is a tentioner pulley..i literally just did this 2 weeks ago and had to improvise

the 93 housing is tapped for short bolts..in 97 jeep through bolted the pumps..that is why the pulley on the later one has holes in it

Can you grab the bracket/tensioner assembly, and just swap the whole thing?
