would my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport come with a keyless entry? the guy i bought it from didnt give me a remote but i didnt ask him... the jeep has no console on the ceiling like where it would say the temp, gas milage etc. just wondering i heard that the sensor is inside the light thingy above the center console.thanks

 

On my '96, the keyless entry receiver is a little black dome on the overhead console, not to far from he compartment for sunshades.

 

2001 would be radio keyless entry, the older style was IR. You might have keyless you might not. Fill out the form on this link and Jeep will tell you how your Jeep was equipt when built: http://www.jeep.com/wccsapp/universa...ull&category=U.

 

mine is a 2000 with a aftermarket radio and i dont have the overconsole, and my keyless still works,

 

mines a 2001 with no overhead console and i have keyless entry.

 

For Jeeps with the overhead console, the sensor for the keyless entry is in the overhead console. For Jeeps without the overhead console, the sensor for the keyless entry is inside the dome light.

I had an overhead console, but I don't know if I have the sensor or not. But I do have an aftermarket alarm.

 

Do you get the entire build sheet by filling out the form?
