Question about jeep sputtering out!

Question about jeep sputtering out!
Could a dent in my exhaust pipe right after my header in between the end of the header and before the o2 sensor cause my jeep to be the cause of my jeep sputtering out and getting inaccurate o2 readings? and ultimately be the cause of my jeep sputtering out?
