Default Question about Dodge Dakota?HELP PLEASE!

I know its not a Jeep but I need answers.cel is on ,had it checked and comes up cps is bad and all cylinders are misfireing. Replaced and ran great for a while. Now its doing it again. It came up cps again. Whats causing this? Its a 97,3.9 V6, 5 speed 2wd.

You could have a short along the wiring for the CPS or possibly the mounting bolts came loose. I'd check those first considering its free.

Try an ignition coil, if it sputters/backfire enough this can confuse the pcm into thinking it is a cps issue. If your other tune up stuff is ok this should work. Also check/replace dist pick up coil (cam sensor) sometimes the pcm/scanners weren't smart enough to tell the difference between the cps and cmp
