Default question....

Any input on axle tube seals?

I know my dana 30 is leaking and I believe that's why my brake pads deteriorated. The liquid spitting out on the rotors and time and time the rotor being used heats it. Sounds right?

So heres the question... should I replace them?

Yes.

If a seal is leaking, you replace it.

Was that the sole point of this thread? Lol I don't understand. Is there something else you want to ask?

You'd rather not use a lifeline?
Or you could just walk away.

Used up all his lifelines trying to figure out if he should go with Rusty's or Rough Country. Then there was that whole issue with no heat a few months ago...

Just wait until it runs dry, you can also flip your ride on either or both sides to hasten the process, won't leak no more.

Plus you'll end up with a lot of cool trail rash.

You should not replace them because oily brake rotors are useful for some people.

Oily brake rotors will make you break faster.

Gear oil on your brake pads will cause them to deteriorate... and not work. Replace your seals. The seal on the vacuum disco side is a pain but with a little creativity and patience, you'll nail it.

...or be back here with another awesome question.
