Default Pushrod order

Well all my my push rods were in order when my helper lifted the piece of cardboard they were in and half of them fell out. Am I ok to just drop them in any order as they all seem to be the same length.

not a big issue at all... at one time it was wise to put the lifters... push rods.,, rockers...all back in same spot..less chance for a noisy rocker... but its not really that big a deal...just look at the tips of all the pushrods.. make sure they all look the same... usally if one is wore the hole will look bigger...

Pushrods are not critical. Roll them on a flat surface (I have a 2" thick piece of glass, built into a wooden box/cover, just for this sort of thing...) to make sure they're not bent. Inspect the ends under bright light and magnification to make sure they're not scuffed, scarred, gouged, or otherwise flawed (shiny is OK - they get 'wear polished' over the years.)

Theoretically, you can go around mixing up rocker arms - but I haven't tried it (nor do I intend to.)

Lifters should never get mixed up. Period. If you're not sure you're putting them back into the exact same hole, replace with new.
