pump seal replacement?
Has anbody on here Changed the Front pump seal on the transmission that goes into the torque converter? I have the transmission out I was told the pump has to be taken out. Any input would be appreciated

not sure on jeeps, but on all the one i have done i use a pry bar to pop it out and then tap it in with a small ball peen hammer

pop it out and tap a new one in with a small hammer. Just make sure you put the lip seal in the correct way. My son put his in backward and boy did it **** oil all over the place....we got another chance to pull the transmission instead of pulling the motor again. Put the seal in correct the next time and all well.
